For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

A long-lost poetry battle between Wilson and I.

(I found this in the Facebook archives)

Me:
and to quiet that chaos within our minds
we seek a peace that is already resting in our palms
waiting patiently for the resonating song that will draw it
into our hearts.

Wilson:

Can seasoned warriors be wrought in words,
or their conquests listed well,
or do we aim to speak that which we cannot begin to tell?

Me:
knights of the kingdom draw their swords
joints praying against the warm metal hilt
they swing broad, claiming victory over the enemy's most elite.
royalty they've been promise, and for the king they fight to defeat!

Wilson:
In chartered mass the games begin,
the frozen laugh and the faces end.
Separated, the Shining dance,
They sing their songs of sweet romance.

It was short but well lived.
